Kinetis RoadRunner Adapter 1.3: New RoadRunner Package Names#
RoadRunner’s PHP packages have new names. spiral/roadrunner-worker
is now roadrunner/worker, spiral/roadrunner-http is now
roadrunner/http, and the CLI that downloads the rr binary is now
roadrunner/cli. kinetis/roadrunner-adapter 1.3.0 moves to the new
names.
What changes for you#
Not much. The adapter now requires roadrunner/worker ^3.8 and
roadrunner/http ^4.2. Composer installs them when you update the
adapter, and you don’t need to change any code.
If your own composer.json requires one of the old spiral/roadrunner-*
packages, for example spiral/roadrunner-cli to fetch the binary,
switch it to the new name. The new packages declare that they replace
the old ones, so Composer won’t install both side by side.
The rr get-binary command in roadrunner/cli 3 marks the downloaded
binary as executable. If your Dockerfile or CI script runs chmod +x rr
afterwards, you can delete that line.
For people who write runtime adapters#
kinetis/framework 1.24.0 ships the updated conformance suite that
every Kinetis adapter must pass. The suite now expects a header with a
numeric name, such as 123, to arrive on every runtime.
RuntimeAdapterDriver::preservesNumericHeaderNames() is gone, so delete
it from your own driver. If your method has #[\Override], PHP won’t
load the class until you do. The bundled adapters already pass the
stricter test.
Upgrading#
Update kinetis/roadrunner-adapter to 1.3.0 and kinetis/framework to
1.24.0. kinetis/bref-adapter 1.2.4 only removes the same method from
its conformance driver. Nothing changes for Lambda applications.
